This recipe is from allrecipes.com and is a quick and easy cinnamon roll recipe with no yeast, proofing, or kneading necessary and can be made from scratch. The preparation time is 20 minutes, cooking time is 20 minutes, and in total will be ready in around 40 minutes.

First, we will start with the ingredients to make the dough: 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 3 tablespoons butter softened, ¾ cup milk, and 1 egg.

Next, the ingredients for the filling will be: ½ cup white sugar, ½ cup brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.

This will be optional but if you want to make a cream cheese frosting, the ingredients will be: 1 cup confectioners’ sugar (optional), 4 ounces softened cream cheese (optional), ¼ cup softened butter (optional), and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract. You also need ¼ cup butter divided.

Your first step will be too preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and then brush a 9-inch baking pan with 2 tablespoons melted butter.

After that you will whisk your 2 cups flour, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and teaspoon salt together in a large bowl. Then while you’re whisking that you will work 3 tablespoons softened butter into the flour mixture with your hands.

Next you will beat the milk and egg in a separate bowl and when finished that you will pour it into the flour-butter mixture and stir it with a rubber spatula until the mixture turns into a soft dough.

When your dough is ready the next thing you will do is turn your dough out onto a floured surface and roll into an ¼-inch thick rectangle. Brush the surface of the dough with 2 tablespoons melted butter.

Next you will have to whisk ½ cup of white sugar, ½ cup of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle ½ of the cinnamon sugar mix in the bottom of the prepared 9-inch baking dish. With the remaining mix you will sprinkle it over the butter-brushed dough.

When that is ready you will roll the dough around the filling to form a log; you will then cut the log into 18 separate pieces making sure they’re even and then will place them in the prepared baking dish.

Bake in oven for around 20 to 25 minutes or until the rolls are set.

For the cream cheese frosting you will beat the confectioners’ sugar, cream cheese, ¼ cup softened butter, and vanilla extract in a bowl until the frosting is smoothened out. When the hot cinnamon rolls are ready you top them when hot and then you’re ready to eat.

Some of the cooks notes are that they half the recipe and that you should bake for 15 minutes instead of 20 minutes.

Some problems people had was that the dough was sticky so they recommend to add a few scoops of flour.

Who was Freddie Mercury?

Freddie Mercury (born with the name Farrokh Bulsara) was born on September 5th ,1946 (died the 24th of November, 1991), was a British singer, songwriter and record producer. He was mainly known for being the lead singer of the band, Queen, and his four-octave vocal range with flashy stage personaMany people consider him one of the greatest singers or even the best singer of all time.

Early Life:

Freddie was born on September 5th1946 in Zanzibar to Parsi parents from India. Mercury spent most of his childhood in India where he took piano lessons ate the age of seven while living with relatives. At the age of eight, Mercury was sent to a British-style boarding school that was for boys. When he was 12 he had formed a school, band called The Hectics where he covered songs by rock and roll artists such as Cliff Richard and Little Richard. In February of 1963, he rejoined his parents in their flat/apartment in Zanzibar.

In 1964, Freddie and the rest of his family escaped Zanzibar due to the violence of the revolution for independence, in which thousands of ethnic Arabs and Indians were killed. They had moved into a small house in Feltham, Middlesex, England. After studying art in Isleworth Polytechnic in Western London, he studied graphic art and design at Ealing Art College. He eventually used his skills to design the logo for his future band, Queen.

After graduating, Freddie had joined a series of bands and sold second-hand clothes in the Kensington Market in the city of Londonwith his girlfriend, Mary Austin. He also had a job as a baggage hander at Heathrow Airport. Friends who knew him back then said he was a quiet and shy young man with lots of interest in music.

In April of 1970, Freddie teamed with Brian May (guitarist) and Roger Taylor (drummer) and became their lead singer of their band called Smile. Later, in 1971, they were joined by a bassist named John Deacon. Mercury then chose a new name for the band and eventually decided to name it “Queen”. Later, he said, “It’s very regal obviously, and it sounds splendid. It’s a strong name, very universal, and immediate. I was certainly aware of the gay connotations, but that was just one facet of it.” At about the same time as he made that statement he changed his surname from Bulsara to the now famous Mercury.

Death from Aids:

On November 23, 1991, Freddie had released a statement confirming he had aids: “I wish to confirm that I have been tested HIV-positive and have AIDSI felt it correct to keep this information private to date to protect the privacy of those around me. However, the time has come now for my friends and fans around the world to know the truth and I hope that everyone will join with my doctors and all those worldwide in the fight against this terrible disease.” The day after that statement, Freddie Mercury had died from AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia at his London mansion. He died at the age of 45.

Longtime friend and bandmate, Roger Taylor provided some insight to Freddie’s decision to keep his battle with AIDS private. “He didn’t want to be looked at as an object of pity and curiosity, and he didn’t want circling vultures over his head,” Taylor said, according to a report in Entertainment Weekly. The rock world mourned the loss of one of its most versatile and engaging performers.

To honour Freddie Mercury, the Freddie Mercury Tribute: Concert for AIDS Awareness was held in April 1992, at Wembley Stadium. There was a variety of rock bands ranging from Def Leppard to Elton John and they performed to celebrate Mercury and advance the fight against AIDS. The same year that happened, their song Bohemian Rhapsody returned to the pop charts.

The Disappearing Ch. 2

The Disappearing

Chapter 2

We were left speechless in the ghostly bedroom. What did it mean: the clock was ticking? The note gave us chills. We had to make at least a semi-organized plan if we even had a chance of saving our friends.

We sat cross-legged on the cold, itchy carpet. Charlotte was the first to speak. “Didn’t you see what happened, there is no saving them. We shouldn’t have come here in the first place!” “And who’s fault is that,” I spat at her. Charlotte was the one who tried so hard to encourage us into coming in this haunted place. “Your saying we should just leave them here?” Autymn questioned. “There already dead”, Cameron protested. We were left there unable to find words to respond to that comment.

Francesca broke the silence that lasted a second to long. Her voice was quiet and shaking a little, “I think we should at least try to save them.” “I agree”, Autymn replied. This is why I enjoy Francesca’s and Autymn’s company the most. They never give up even when you can barely see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I nodded, considering the chance that we all make it out alive. “Good luck with that,” Cameron said sarcastically, while he and Charlotte lifted themselves off the floor and walked out of the pale bedroom, quickly past the door with rusted hinges, and out of our sight.

It was only me, Francesca and Autymn left in the bedroom. We decided to look around the room for anything that might help us. There was a dark maroon nightstand. The paint was fading revealing the wood underneath. On top of it was a lacey, off-white place mat, with a little lamp on top of it.  The lampshade was covered in dust particles and the bulb was dead. There was dresser that was off-white with a dark blue placemat that matched the bed skirt. There was a closet that mainly had elegant dresses and pullover cardigans inside.

After all that searching, we couldn’t find anything helpful. We sat back down laying the two notes we had collected in front of us. “Do you think the first note meant that the person writing it needs help?” asked Francesca, “Maybe they thought if they took our friends, we could save them and our friends at the same time!” I speculated at that. After everything that had happened, and being one step away from a nervous breakdown, that anything might just be possible. It still doesn’t make a whole lot of sense but at least it was a little bit sensible. Maybe.

“I-” when I got cut off by a shriek from the walls again. It sounded like something that could only exist in the underworld. It was enough to make your ears bleed and their drums burst. We were all startled and jumped up. The shriek only happens when it takes…someone. Cameron and Charlotte. We all thought the same thing.

We ran past the door and down the creaking stairs to see Cameron frozen still. Charlotte’s sandals were in front of him, which were positioned in a way that made it look like she was just about to open the door. “We can’t leave,” Cameron said quietly.

It looked as if he was staring holes right through the door, not looking at anything particular. It looked like he had just come back from war and he had the only beating heart left. The expression was pure defeat.  There was another note on the sandals, “Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Come Play With Me”.

We were finally able to get a sentence out of Cameron. He told us that as soon as Charlotte’s hand touched the doorknob, there was a bright flash right in front of him then nothing. Charlette was gone followed by a shriek. He then agreed to help find our friends since there is no hope of getting past that door.  He told us that it might be a good idea to explore more rooms in the house. We agreed with him.

The bathroom was the first room we explored. There was no flooring beside cold cement. The toilet looked and smelled very old. The sink smelt of deviled eggs with yellow goo bubbling from the drain. The sound of it was like someone squishing brains, like in one of those awful horror movies that give you nightmares for a week after. The sound was quite unsettling.

I turned my head to the bathtub. My jaw almost hit the floor. Across the white curtains there was red streaks across the bottom reaching up to about halfway. Autymn and Francesca walked over and peeled the curtain back making a rattling noise. Nothing.

There was a blue little rug that smelled of hospital mixed with a care home for elders. Next to it was only one thing, a bottle that read. Blood remover. “We should get out of here,” Francesca whispered.

I turned for the door which was left open from when we walked in. As soon as I stepped out, I felt a liquid hit my face. The smell I recognized a soon as it trickled down my forehead, to my nose. Blood. I looked up to see…
