Tuesday, June 16 – Gr 11-12 – Portfolios (due) and Presentations – Gr 7-8 – Portfolio Presentations

Gr. 11-12 – Portfolios (due) and Presentations

Before you sit down:

  • Be ready for your presentation
  • Make sure that your complete Personal Portfolio is submitted
    • Include:
      • Portfolio Journal (filled out)
      • Master List
      • All of your artwork (in order of Master List)
      • No rubric necessary (your presentation is your “reflection”)
  • Any overdue work must be submitted
  • Any work not submitted by 3:30, Wed., June 17th will be considered a 0% for final assessment

If you do not get time to present in class:

  • Any students that did not present during class time must make an appointment for presentations with Mr. Ewert for Wed., June 17th (available 9-10 and 11:05 – 3:30). Talk to Mr. Ewert in person or message on Edsby to arrange a time.

 

Gr. 7-8 – Portfolios (due) and Presentations

Before you sit down:

  • Be ready for your presentation
    • If you have a digital presentation, then click the link on yesterday’s post and upload it ASAP
    • Get four copies of the Peer Assessments
    • Get your names from Mr. Ewert
  • Make sure that your complete Personal Portfolio is submitted
    • Include:
      • Portfolio Journal (filled out)
      • Master List
      • All of your artwork (in order of Master List)
      • No rubric necessary (your presentation is your “reflection”)
  • Any overdue work must be submitted
  • All must be submitted by 3:30, Wed., June 18th

Gr. 7-8 – Presentations (prep) and catch up

Before you sit down:

  • Get what you need for finishing work. Expect that you are presenting tomorrow.

This week:

  • Wed – Presentations
  • Thurs – clean up and final formal class
  • Friday and rest of June – catch up, get more marks, additional optional projects

Today is all about catch-up and taking pictures for your Visual Arts Presentations. Mr. Ewert will go over you Presentation assignment and answer any questions.

Get a green camera and a laptop to take pics of everything you need. You can easily batch crop images by dropping them into this link here.

Additional time is for getting your Portfolio up to par.

Gr. 7-8 –Catch Up and Personal Portfolio

Before you sit down:

  • Any catch up you need to do, now is the time. If you are finished all items, then you should add time to your Personal Portfolio and go after something you are inspired to do.

Gr. 11-12 – 2 and 3 Point Perspective (studio time 1 of 2)

Before you sit down:

    • Get 1 piece of scrap paper, pencils, eraser, and a straight edge (ruler works best)

Today:

  • we are learning 2 and 3 point perspective. Then, you have remaining time to plan out your piece and start work. You have tomorrow and Wed. to complete. See the schedule below for remaining days

    • pencil, 2 pieces scrap paper, ruler, eraser (sorry, all 200 erasers are now gone from art room so you will need to get one of your own)

Today in class: today we are having direct instruction on 2 and 3 point perspective. Mr. Ewert will lead the class, but for those who missed, there are videos available below that you can use to draw from for your samples of this concepts.

Gr. 11-12 – One and Two Point Perspective

Before you sit down:

  • Get an exit slip and fill it out. If you need a computer to complete it (looking on Edsby), they are at the front.
  • Get 2 pieces of scrap paper, pencil, ruler and an eraser (sorry, all 200 of them went “missing” this year, so you will need to find your own)

Today:

  • One, Two, (and maybe) three point perspective (direct instruction so be ready). Mr. Ewert will lead the class, but for those who missed, there are videos available below that you can use to draw from for your samples of this concepts.
